St Aldhelm's Chapel. Beacon Hill. (Lytchett Heath)
Built as a private chapel in 1898.
I noticed this sweet little chapel a few months ago and I wanted other people to notice it too.
This is almost a cache n dash.
It's delightful but tucked away and easily missed.
The tower is unusual in that the bells are visible from the exterior.
The chapel was presented with a set of new stained glass windows depicting the life of St Aldhelm in September 2001
I have not found the chapel open so haven't had chance to look around it yet....pity.
There is parking outside the gate for a few cars.
