Challenge: MN DNR Hunting Areas Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

MN.Fruitcake: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

***NOTE: If you have any questions, do not reply to the archive note email. Click on the link to go to the cache page and click on my name in the archive log at the bottom of the page. You can then send me an email regarding the cache. Please send me a link to the cache in question so I will know which cache it is regarding. I will not see notes posted to this cache page once it is archived.

Thanks for your understanding,

MN.Fruitcake

Geocache Description:

You may search for the cache BEFORE you have met the qualifications, but to qualify for this challenge and officially log your find, you must…

Find at least ONE cache in each of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Firearms Deer Hunting Areas

Rules and Other Instructions
  1. Allowable cache types are Traditional, Multi/Offset, Puzzle, Letterbox Hybrid, Virtual and Earthcache...Events and CITOs are not allowed...
  2. Prior, Current and Future Finds do count (this includes archived caches you have found)!!!
  3. For the Purposes of Multi/Offset Caches, Puzzle Caches and Letterbox Hybrid Caches (that lead you on a sort of "Field Puzzle") it is the posted coordinates (cache page) that count...
  4. Red Lake Indian Reservation Area - As it is not an area open to public hunting, no cache needs to be found in that area in order to complete this challenege (Blank/Gray area in map above).
  5. Please Note: The 2010 Area Boundaries are the Default Boundaries for completing this challenge. However, you may elect to use anything 2010 or beyond as your guide...if different then the default 2010 areas, please post a note stating you are accepting this Challenge and which year you will be using.
  6. a) For each Area without a cache, you will need to find an additional cache in a adjacent area of the same series and count that for the missing area. For example...if Area 272 does not have a cache, you will need to find an additional cache in 270, 271, 273, 274, 275 or 278...keep in mind, you cannot use a single cache for more than one area for this challenge...
    b) Otherwise, Caches placed do count, IF AND ONLY IF, there are no other caches in place at the time you complete this challenge...If using your own cache, it MUST BE active (not archived) at the time you claim a find on this cache...
    c) Otherwise, Wait until a cache is placed in the missing area...
Verify/List your Qualifying Finds
You may verify that you have found a cache in each of the Minnesota DNR Deer Hunting Areas in any way that you wish. Options include:
  • Bookmark list of Qualifying finds...
  • Geocache Waypoints and corresponding Area Numbers listed as part of your log...
  • Picture of your qualifying finds overlayed with the DNR Boundaries Map...
  • Or, any other way you see fit...
