Mørsvikbotn kapell ble bygd i 1955 og har sitteplasser til cirka 140 personer. Til kapellet hører også en vakker gravlund som ble tatt i bruk på 1950-tallet.
Mørsvikbotn chapel was built in 1955 and has seating for approximately 140 people. Outside the chapel is a beautiful cemetery.
Kapellet gjennomgikk en omfattende restaurering i 1961 og kan nå feire 50-årsjubileum etter vigslingen. Folket i Mørsvikbotn har et nært forhold til dette lille gudshuset, som samler bygdefolket til gudstjenester, dåp, konfirmasjoner, bryllup og gravferd. Cacheeier er døpt og konfirmert her, og vil gjerne vise fram denne lille perlen til andre. Jeg håper at de som legger turen hit vil få en fin opplevelse, og gå fram med respekt for både bygget og gravlunden.
Cachen er plassert på hjørnet av kapellet, like ved den gamle porten til gravlunden. Vær nøye med å feste den nøyaktig slik du finner den - den har en liten hjelper som holder den på plass :-)
The chapel underwent an extensive restoration in 1961 and is now celebrating the 50th anniversary of consecration. The people of Mørsvikbotn are fond of this little house of God, as a meeting place for services, baptisms, confirmations, weddings and funerals. Cache Owner is baptized and confirmed here, and would like others to see this little gem as well. I hope that those making the trip here will be as fond of it as I am, and act respectfully when visiting the place.
The cache is located on the corner of the chapel, next to the old wrought iron gate to the cemetery. Be sure to attach it exactly as you find it - it has a little helper that keeps it in place :-)
