Boats can be launched upstream at Chirundu village or from the Mongwe fishing camps. Permission is required to enter the Mongwe area.If required boat hire is available from the boarder town of Chirundu. Accommodation at the Chalets in Chirundu are very reasonable if required.

Canoe trips can be booked on line from a number of companies offering canoe trips along the Zambezi River if you choose this form of getting to the cache. These trips are normally two to three night long and offer a wonderful way of experiencing the mighty Zambezi.

The easiest way is to use your own boat or have a friend who owns a boat. Take along your fishing tackle and or binoculars. The fishing and birding along the Zambezi is magnificent.

The cache has been placed at a favourite fishing spot where you can catch a number of species including the famous freshwater Tiger Fish. The river is particularly deep at this point and Cornish Jack and Bottlenose fish can be caught in the eddies below the rocks. Chessa and Nkupi fish can be found in the fast flowing water.

The Cache is on the Zimbabwean River Bank.
