Geocache Description:

I thought it was about time Southwater had a puzzle cache, so I have placed this one in honour of my nephew who is mad about Doctor Who.

It's quite simple and should be easy enough to Master.

A NOTE from AnTsInRpAnTs: the disappearance of the original cache had necessitated some changes. 1st, there was a new container to find! 2nd, a new location was needed as the old one was no longer realistically usable. Change of location has meant minor modifications (in blue text) to the formula to correct the co-ordinates so that you get to the new location. 3rd there is a new Hint.

There has been NO CHANGE TO THE PUZZLE ITSELF! For that you can remain grateful to bobknotthe creator of this amusing mystery. But there are a few alterations and additions to the text that appears after the puzzle clues (A to J).

The cache is NOT at the published coordinates, which are for Southwater Post Office. Please only go there if you need to buy stamps or post a letter. Anyways, I hear there is an infestation of Weeping Angels around that way...

The cache is in fact located at N51 AB.C(D+1)(E+2) W000 FG.H(I-2)(J-2)

You will need to solve the following simple riddles to identify a Doctor, and from there derive the values for each letter (assume 10 is zero). Knowledge of the show will help but you should be able to find the answers easily enough!

A = A pint of lager from Wellpark Brewery please
B = The fictional Doctor has two of these, and so did this actor- one in his body and one in his name
C = This is one of two similar Doctors whose name is the profession of Mr Kipling. This one shares the same first name as Tommy Cooper's             Chinese brother.
D = Elephants, frogs, or any animals that are large or tiny
E = This Doctor was the first to get his teeth into robotics...
F = 2000 lbs of a type of salmon
G = An empty flat needs a new one of these
H = ... and then became the voice of Little Britain
I = A cup o' tea an' a slice o' cake and I'll be bum swizzled!
J = This Doctor isn't related to Formula One President, Bernie

You can park fairly near the cache but will need to walk a hundred metres or so.. Unfortunately, the cache is not wheelchair or Dalek accessible and, along the way (depending on direction of approach), there are slopes leading to a small stream. So do keep an eye on any small children you may have with you.

Please note, the main path you will use is frequented by dog walkers and there are homes on the other side of the main path from where you will be headed. Despite the 24/7 attribute being switched on (we don't want to change attributes due to the effect that has on statistics), we would not recommend caching in the dark here.

The general area shows signs of being an occasional playground for local children who might take too keen an interest in what you are doing if they observe you wandering off the main path.

STOP PRESS>>> Mr AnT finally went out to actually place a spanking new and different container today (27.07.2021) a replacement in kind being unfindable.. Having done so, while wandering back along a path to his car, he stopped to pick up some trash (as we do! ) by the side of that path. and, lo and behold, it was none other than the old cache looking much like it had when we adopted it.

So it seemed apprpriate NOT to replace the one that has already braved significant voyages in time but to let it continue on its travels with the doctor. . .  LoL!!
