Geocache Description:

Yet another in the Church micro series!

Church Micro 2081...Pluckley

Pluckley is a village and civil parish in the Ashford District of Kent, United Kingdom. It is located close to the North Downs, and is approximately 5 miles (8 km) west of Ashford. One part of the village is called Pluckley Thorne.

The Church of St Nicholas, built of Kentish ragstone, dates from the 13th and 14th Centuries and comprises a chancel, nave, South aisle and West tower. It stands in the heart of the village, famous as the location for “The Darling Buds of May” television series, high on the Greensand Ridge overlooking the Kentish Weald. The new organ, completed in February 2008, sits opposite the Dering Chapel against the North wall of the chancel.

Dedicated by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the instrument has turned out to be an exciting organ to play and a versatile teaching instrument.

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
There is also a Church Micro Stats page found via the Bookmark list.
