This place brings back many fond memories of my childhood spent playing in the woods which surround the Golf course.
This should be a fairly easy cache to find but little ones may need a helping hand due to it's height.
As a child i spent many happy weekends playing around the Golf course, mainly in the woods opposite this cache. I still live in Winchester but have not visited this area for at least 15 years, thankfully not much has changed apart from you can no longer access the woods which is a shame.
The cache is a next to a fairly quiet road however caution should be exercised at all times. Parking is restricted but there is unofficial off road parking along Sarum Road heading towards Crab Wood.
As you are in the area why not also pay a visit to the excellent "Pinset" (GC25VY4) and Crabwood (GCGFFG) both of which are with in easy walking distance.
