This Cache is very near the top of Gongmaru La (or Kongmaru La or
Kangmaru La). If the gps reading is correct this highest pass of
the trek is 5284m high. You have wonderful views from the top.
There are snow peaks in every direction and on a clear day the
giants of Karakoram, including K2, can be seen on the north-western
horizon.
However, to reach this pass, you have to make this beautiful,
but very strenous trek trough the Markha Valley. We did it on our
own (with backpacks) but there are a lot of companies, that offer
treks trough the Marka Valley. The gps reading should be very
acurate, as there are no obstructions to the signal near by.
