This is another scuba-cache series following on from "The Incident Pit" series (GC31XZM, GC31XZB, GC31XZH, GC31F26, GC31XZP) and the "Wrecked - The End!" series (GC356PZ, GC35712, GC3571F, GC3571V) which will require a qualified scuba-diver's help to complete. We have created these caches so that one part is underwater and one part is land-based. We have done this so that every member of the caching team - divers and non-divers alike can participate in the hunt.
Good luck; and remember
"Plan the dive and Dive the Plan"
The coordinates given are for an entry point into Stoney Cove diving lake closest to the cache. Once in the water, the diver will need to swim following a bearing of 220o for about 5 minutes until they arrive at the wreck of the ship Stanegarth. Once at the wreck, the diver will need to find the wheelhouse and just in front of it there is some winding-gear with a number of toothed cogs. Count the number of cogs (this number = C). (You have now completed Part 1 of the cache).
Use the number of toothed cogs (C) to solve the following simple formulae to work out the coordinates for the surface cache hidden somewhere on the site. (Part 2).
X = C + C. (or C x 2 if you prefer)
Y = C + 1.
Z = Y + Y.

When you log your find online - please state
in your log whether you were a diver or non-diver.
Photos and slightly extended logs would be very welcome.
Please be aware there is a charge of £17 to dive at the site on the day. Divers who are already registered pay £11 to dive for the day.
Many thanks to the staff at Stoney Cove for permission to set-up this cache.
***Congratulations to bigbatch on being the FTF***
