Geocache Description:

A cache near one of the rivers that feed Hok Tau Reservoir, along the family trail leading around it.

Near to where the original Undiscovered Paradise (visit link) was hidden.

Hok Tau Reservoir is a small S-shaped irrigation reservoir situated in the northeastern New Territories. The Tan Shan River flows through the reservoir and eventually empties into the Ng Tung River. The reservoir can be accessed by Stage 9 of the Wilson Trail or by the Hok Tau Reservoir Family Walk.

There are many barbecue sites along the family walk, particularly on the Eastern side of the reservoir. That is also the easiest side to walk along, as it's a vehicle access road. The other side is a mountain trail. The family walk leads around the reservoir, the cache is hidden under a tree roughly halfway near a very scenic river.

This reservoir can be reached by minibus 52B from Fanling Station; ask the driver for Hok Tau Reservoir. You will be dropped off shortly before the village, walk straight ahead from there. The road until the reservoir is quite boring but it's well worth it.
