Geocache Description:

This cache can only be found by playing the associated Wherigo cartridge. The coordinates provided are for the starting point of the cartridge.

I am pleased to bring to you the first Wherigo cache for SE Idaho. For more information about Wherigo, check out the FAQ. If you do not have any experience with Wherigo, then I suggest you try this tutorial first.

About this game: You will need to find your way through a maze contained within Freeman Park. The maze is in a 10 x 10 grid of 50' x 50' squares(called zones in Wherigo lingo). In the game you can see a picture of each zone showing the possible directions of travel through that zone(it does not indicate your position within a zone). When you enter a zone all possible exit zones will become visible. Think of it like a corn maze or giant walled maze, where you can only go certain directions and must back out of dead-ends, etc...

Note: It is possible to straddle two zones which results in the game thinking that you are inside two different zones. If this happens, you can correct it by getting into the middle of one zone and then entering the other and repeat until it gets back on track. This can be prevented by staying toward the center of each zone instead of near the border.

Once inside the maze you must find virtual items; three gold coins, a key, and an ogre behind a locked door. Once you have the coins and key, you can find the ogre and give him the three coins, he will then tell you where the cache is hidden. I have tested this cartridge on the Oregon and an Android device using the WhereYouGo app.

I hope you enjoy this fun new cache type for this area. Feedback and info on any technical issues you encounter are appreciated.

Expect to spend at least an hour wandering around in the maze, more depending on how lost you get (spare batteries?). Feedback indicates that play time is longer than I originally estimated and may require a few hours. You do have the ability to save your progress and return later to resume your game. Below you will find a blank map of the maze, I suggest taking a copy of that with you...
