Este trilho pedestre foi inaugurado no dia 25 de Abril de 2005. Tem uma extensão que se aproxima dos 5 quilómetros, ao longo dos quais foram colocadas sinais de orientação e placas de informação sobre as plantas endémicas típicas das florestas da Laurissilva características Macaronésia que acompanham grande parte deste percurso.
Existem e também placas informativas sobre os vários tipos de relheiras, que são marcas antigas dos Carros de bois e de outros meios de transporte primitivo e que provem desde o inicio do povoamento da ilha.

This footpath was opened on April 25, 2005. It has an extension which is close to 5 kilometers, along which were placed signs of guidance and information panels about the endemic plants of the typical characteristics Macaronesian laurel forests that accompany much of this route.
There are also boards and information about the various types of relheiras, that are hallmarks of the old ox-carts and other primitive means of transport and that comes from the beginning of settlement of the island.
