This event is inspired by the Faro event serie by Ringeck.
As we wanted to take part in an event, we were sad that the above
mentioned event is taking place before our visit to the island, so
what about organizing an event by ourselves?
Therefore we invite all local and international geocachers who are
staying on Gran Canaria on the 31st of October to a short meeting
at the faro in Maspalomas at 17:30 o' clock.
We will meet in front of the faro near the beach. Because it's
Halloween it would be fun (for an event photo), if you wore a
little Halloween accessory (such as a witches' nose...) but we will
recognize each other by our GPSrs.
You can discover or change coins and TBs and exchange your
experiences about caches on Gran Canaria. Of course there will be a
logbook for you to sign, too.
The event ends officially after half an hour at 18:00 o'clock, but
there are some bars and restaurants nearby.
Please announce your visit with a "will attend" log in english. If
you take (little) children with you please inform us about the
number in your will attend log, so that we can organize a little
surprise for them.

Nos inspiró la serie de eventos
al faro de Ringeck.
Nos hubiera gustado participar en un evento durante nuestra
estancia en Gran Canaria, pero desgraciadamente el antes mencionado
evento tendrá lugar unos días antes de nuestra llegada. Entonces
¿qué mejor que organizar nosotros mismos un evento?
Por eso invitamos a todos los geocacheres locales e internacionales
que se encuentren en Gran Canaria el 31 de octubre a las 17.30
horas para un evento pequeño en el faro de Maspalomas.
Nos encontraremos delante del faro junto a la playa. Como es la
noche del 1 de noviembre (Halloween), sería divertido si llevaráis
un pequeño asesorio - como por ejemplo la nariz de una bruja
– para sacar luego una foto del evento. Pero de todas maneras
nos reconoceremos por nuestros navegadores GPS. Entonces podemos
descubrir o cambiar „coins“ y TB y sobre todo
intercambiar nuestras experiencias con caches en Gran Canaria.
También habrá un cuaderno bitácora.
El evento se terminará de forma oficial a las 18.00 horas, pero
cerca seguramente habrá algunos bares y restaurantes.
Por favor, avisad vuestra participación con un log „will
attend“ en inglés. Si tenéis niños pequeños, por favor,
avisad cuántos son, para traerles una pequeña sorpresa a cada
uno.

Durch die Faro Event serie
von Ringeck wurden wir zu diesem Event inspiriert.
Da wir während unseres Urlaubes eigentlich an einem Event
teilnehmen wollten, waren wir enttäuscht, dass das oben genannte
Event vor unserer Anreise statt finden sollte. Was liegt da näher,
als selbst ein Event zu organisieren?
Daher laden wir alle lokalen und internationalen Geocacher, die am
31. Oktober um 17:30 Uhr auf Gran Canaria sind, zu einem kurzen
Treffen am Leuchtturm vom Maspalomas ein.
Wir treffen uns vor dem Leuchtturm in Strandnähe. Da Halloween ist,
wäre es lustig, wenn ihr zum Event ein kleines Halloween-Accessoir
(z.B. Hexennase) für ein Eventfoto tragen würdet, aber auf alle
Fälle werden wir uns an unseren GPS-Geräten erkennen.
Wir können dann Coins und TBs discovern oder tauschen und unsere
Erfahrungen mit den Caches auf Gran Canaria austauschen. Ein
Logbuch wird es natürlich auch geben.
Das Event endet dann offiziell nach einer halben Stunde um 18:00
Uhr, aber es sind ja einige Bars in der Nähe...
Bitte kündigt euer Kommen mit einem "Will attend"-Log in englisch
an. Falls ihr (kleinere) Kinder mitbringt, dann schreibt doch in
euren Log wie viele, damit wir eine kleine Überraschung für jedes
Kind organisieren können.
