Geocache Description:

You are standing by Mount Doom where Saurons forged The One Ring himself. Here your travels will start to follow the One Ring.
Mount Doom is still there, but it is hot and not a healthy place to linger around





Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky,
Seven for the Dwarf-lords in their halls of stone,
Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die,
One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne

This WherIgo cache has been inspired by the history The Lord of the Rings and the mission is to find some object and walk around in the area and follow the instructions
to be able to finaly find the cache.
This story will take you from Mount Doom to The council of Eldron and your task is to follow the one ring in this epic store. This WherIgo is the first part of the story in The Lord of the rings, the rest I have in my WherIgo The Lord of the Rings part Two click here
It is just influenced by the story and I use places and caracters from the books. Your task is to follow the instructions and you will finally find the cache and a log to sign. You have to find 15 places and have to walk about 4 km. Just where it all starts is suitable free parking (2hours) and this might be enough if you are very clever else the game takes place on the hill and area to the east and it is possible to take some steps and continue an other day. I will guide you and you have to read the instructions carefully before you leave the zoone, the zoones are sometimes not visable unless you are in the correct place.
You have to load the game click here and put it in your WherIgo directory.
The program is made for and tested with iphone 4s and app for wherigo and I have introduced sound in the program which gives an alert sound when you approtch a zone..
Other mobilphones require additional program
But remember that it is a Beta release and may not work on all plattforms.
Do not walk away from the zone untill you received the information
Take it easy,save the game along the way and do not forget to
scroll down to view the text below the pictures.
Start with full charge on your iphone!
Close other apps to free up memory!
Bring paper and pen so you can note the information you get.
It is very nice to take this cache at night in the dark with the city light illuminating the sky
There are about 68 in the MMT# series and as they are growing in numbers there is a " MMT# series challenge" to take all check the Bookmark list to the right or click here for your score !!! Just note in the log how many you have managed to take

When I'm out caching I carry a supply of replacement log sheets so that I can help out the cache owner by carrying out any maintenance that's required.
