Geocache Description:

This cache is relevant to another cache placed nearby named “Meyer Vs Alberts”. Micro cache that can be retrieved by entering at the gate of the graves on the right-hand side. Please enter with stealth, it is available for visiting and try not to wake the dead, oh yes and bring your own pen/cil. Cache only contains logsheet.

This is the final resting place of Jan’s brother , Johan Georg (Org) Meyer, that was responsible for the Meyer Farm at Jan’s death. Org Meyer sold part of Elandsfontein (Now Alberton) to war veteran, Generaal Hennie Alberts and he decided on the name Alberton. After Jan’s passing, his wife Hester, married Abraham Viljoen in 1858. More information on this can be found by visiting nearby cache placed by fellow cacher, Skat Skatt, named “ Five( but Not alive)”. Hope you enjoy this cache!
