Geocache Description:

This Wherigo cache was originally inspired by Krazy_Kidz's GeoMaze cartridge. It has since been modified to be more like Corfmania's Maryland Minotaur's Maze with a little easier gameplay.

This cartridge will require you to navigate through a maze of rooms. You will be able to see the walls and any adjacent rooms but no further. You will also not know which room is your final destination but I will tell you that it is on the outside edge of this map:

The terrain is rough out here. You'll encounter thorns, water, heavy brush, poison ivy, hunters, etc. See the attributes and plan accordingly.

I'm not sure how difficult this will be for people who don't know the way through the maze and I'm sure the terrain will vary a lot with the seasons so I'll put it at a 4.5/4.5 to start.

What is Wherigo?

For those of you who don't know, Wherigo was created as a means to reintroduce the adventure game genre by making it easy for anyone to create and play location-based adventures in the real world. Using Wherigo, the physical world becomes the background for engaging story lines and location-specific virtual entertainment.

Wherigo is a platform that allows you to build location based GPS experiences on your computer and play them in the real world. Rather than searching for puzzle clues on a screen, you look for them in the field. Using Wherigo, you can create interactive tours, adventure games and puzzles... the possibilities are endless.

How can I play this Cartridge?

First off, you'll need the appropriate Wherigo Player on a Wherigo compatible Hardware (Pocket PC, Garmin Oregon or Colorado GPS, Android Smartphone, or iPhone).

If you do not have one already, click on the links to the right to download the one you need. Once you have a player, you just need to download the cartridge for that player. You can do that by clicking on the title banner above or the top link to the right.

For more information on getting started, check out this link. There you'll find tutorials and FAQs to help you out.

How can I build a Cartridge?

We build our cartridges primarily using Urwigo. Urwigo is the most popular Wherigo builder and offers the most comprehensive cartridge building toolset. The interface centers around flow charts and property pages. You can download it by using the link to the right.

Other builders: The Groundspeak Builder, Earwigo, and Wherigo\\kit. If you need help building, stop by the Wherigo Forums on www.wherigo.com.
