Better late than never, this is my contribution to the 10th anniversary of the first ever geocaching event.
The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates but they point to the location of the first ever geocaching event.
On March 24th, 2001, here at Schlotz Garten, a handful of local geocachers met for the Austin Geocachers Happy Hour (GC389). The rest is history.
I always wondered what the geocaching landscape looked like in Austin at the time of this first event. My research shows that about a dozen caches had been created in Austin before the event.

In order to find the coordinates of the actual container, you will need to hunt down these early caches.
Once you have figured out all the caches that were placed in Austin (and immediate surroundings like Cedar Park) before the day of the first event, order them based on the GC ID.
Then look at the coordinates using the standard geocaching.com format (please note that longitude has an extra digit) to get the following clues:
A: The fifth digit of the latitude of the first cache
B: The fifth digit of the latitude of the third cache
C: The fifth digit of the latitude of the sixth cache
D: The sixth digit of the latitude of the fifth cache
E: The sixth digit of the longitude of the eigth cache
F: The seventh digit of the longitude of the tenth cache
G: The eigth digit of the longitude of the sixth cache
H: The sixth digit of the longitude of the ninth cache
The coordinates of the container are:
N30 1A.BCD W097 4E.FGH
Have fun researching Austin's geocaching history and don't forget to bring your own pen as there is only room for a log and a couple of geocoins in the container
