FERGEMANNSTUGGU VED HELLBERGET

Nor:Cachen ligger ikke ved fergemannstuggu,men oppe på berget pga avstand til annen cache. Liten plastboks med noen byttegjenstander, loggbok og blyant pluss FTFC og en liten FTF gave. ENG: Small plastic box with some change objects, log book and pencil plus FTFC and a small FTF gift .

Nor:Fergemannstuggu ble nok bygget ca 1820 da fergestedet ble flyttet hit pga ras ved det gamle fergestedet. I 1856 da den første Hellbrua ble bygd og veien langs Hellberget ble anlagt måtte stua flyttes nærmere elva, men i 1882 da Meråkerbanen ble anlagt måtte den på nytt flyttes, da litt vekk fra elva. Det er Stjørdal museum som eier stua. Hellberget der cachen ligger har gitt opphavet til Stedet Hell (fra gammelnorsk hellir) Eng: Fergemannstuggu(Ferry man house) was built about 1820 when the ferry site was moved due to land slide at the old ferry landing. In 1856 when the first Hell bridge was built and the road along the Hell Mountain was built, the house had to bemoved closer to the river, but in 1882 when Meråkerbanen was built it had again moved, then a little away from river. It is Stjørdal museum that owns the house. Hell Mountain where the cache is located has given name to the place Hell (from old Norwegian hellir)
