On June 11, 2011, I stepped out of the airplane at Burgas airport. I came to a new country to work as a guide for TUI Nordic (aka. Star Tour/Fritidsresor/Finnmatkat), a Danish/Norwegian/Swedish/Finnish travel agency.
The first thing i did when I learned that Sunny beach would be my summer destination was to check geocaching.com: were there any caches? At that time, there was only two in Nessebar and none in Sunny beach.
Since then, three new caches have appeared in Sunny beach, one of them being my own. This one is also the third one to appear in Nessebar.
Working in Sunny:
The summer has been great and my job has been to provide service to our guests. I have met them at the airport, answered their questions by phone and sms, called around to hotels to solve problems, met clients in our service centers, worked closely with the Bulgarian police, taxidrivers, receptionists and restaurants, and much more. It's been a summer full of experiences and a great first season within this particular industry.
In a week from when I'm writing this, I'm going "home" on holiday. And a week after that, I'm leaving for Lanzarote, my winter destination. But who knows? Perhaps I'll be back in Sunny beach for another summer season.
This place:
There are two reasons for this cache and its location: mainly I wanted to place a cache in memory of the summer. Second, I chose this place because it is small and cosy and located in my favorite place in this part of the country: Old Nessebar.
