Geocache Description:

The Church at Gun Hill
Church at Gun Hill

The Church at Gun Hill is an Elim Pentecostal Church in Bowers Gifford, Essex.

The church was built in 1884 as a Congregational Church. Apparently, John Willsmer, the miller from nearby Pitsea, was one of the people responsible for the building of the church. In the 1940s, the building was bought by the Elim Pentecostal Church.

After 6pm on weekdays and at any time on Saturday and Sunday, you may park in Church Road, just off the mini roundabout next to the church. In the event of any difficulty in parking in Church Road, you may also park in the approach road to Ilfracombe Avenue directly opposite the Gun Pub at the top of the hill.

The cache is magnetic micro with a log book but no pen.

PLEASE REPLACE THE LOGBOOK IN THE ZIPLOCK BAG AS THIS KEEPS IT DRY !!

This cache meets the GAGB Urban Placement

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let Sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
