Lipenská prehrada je vodní dílo vybudované na rece Vltave v letech
1952–1959. Jde o rozlohou nejvetší prehradu a vubec o
nejvetší vodní plochu na území Ceské republiky (díky
cemuž bývá také obcas oznacována za Ceské ci Jihoceské more).
Hráz prehrady se nachází v obci Lipno nad Vltavou.
Nejširší je prehradní nádrž u Cerné v
Pošumaví, kde se rozlévá až na 4 km. Na
pravobrežní strane zasahuje až k státním hranicím s
Rakouskem.
Lipno je významnou lokalitou pro rekreacní pobyt u vody a vodní
sporty a sportovní rybolov. Dále jde o zásobárnu vody a zdroj
elektrické energie (soucástí prehrady je též vodní elektrárna
Lipno I). Lipenská nádrž Lipno I je první nádrží z
Vltavské kaskády. Následují za ní Lipno II, Hnevkovice, Korensko,
Orlík (nádž s nejvetším objemem vody v CR), Kamýk,
Slapy, Štechovice a Vrané.
D: Der Stausee Lipno ist ein See im Südwesten
der Tschechischen Republik, Teil der Moldau-Kaskade und bildet
deren viertälteste und höchstgelegene Stufe. Er befindet sich an
der Grenze zu Österreich im Nationalpark und
Landschaftsschutzgebiet Böhmerwald im Okres Ceský Krumlov (Bezirk
Krumau), nur ein kleiner Ausläufer des Sees im Nordwesten liegt im
Okres Prachatice (Bezirk Prachatitz), im Südwesten ein sehr kleiner
Teil auf österreichischem Staatsgebiet (Bezirk Rohrbach,
Oberösterreich).
Der Stausee entstand im Jahr 1959, nachdem von 1952–1959 eine
Staumauer mit Kraftwerk im Moldautal errichtet worden war. Mit
dieser Maßnahme sollten die Region, insbesondere aber auch die
flussabwärts gelegenen Städte Ceské Budejovice (Böhmisch Budweis)
und Prag vor Hochwasser geschützt werden. Bereits damals erhielt
der See seinen Spitznamen Jihoceské more (dt. Südböhmisches Meer)
bzw. Šumavské more (dt. Böhmerwald-Meer).
E: The Lipno dam is a lake in the southwest of
the Czech Republic, part of the Vltava cascade and forms the fourth
oldest and highest level. It is located on the border with Austria
in the national park and conservation area Šumava in Okres
Ceský Krumlov, just a small branch of the lake in the northwest is
in Okres Prachatice in the southwest, a very small part of the
territory of Austria (District Rohrbach, Upper Austria).
The reservoir was created in 1959 after it was built from 1952-1959
with a dam and the river power plant. With this measure, the
region, but especially the downstream cities of Prague and Ceské
Budejovice be protected against flooding. Even then, the lake got
its nickname Jihoceské more or Šumavské more.
