[DE] Das Eisloch liegt an der Via Spluga-Wanderroute, kann aber
auch auf der Durchfahrt einfach und rasch erreicht werden.
[EN] The "ice hole" is situated at the hiking trail "Via Spluga",
but can also be reached easily by car.
[DE] Eisloch? - Es handelt sich nicht etwa um ein Loch im Eis,
sondern um ein Loch voll Eis!
Es liegt am oberen Ende der Roflaschlucht, in der Nähe einer
kleinen Hängebrücke über den Hinterrhein.
Selbst anfangs Sommer kann man hier unter Umständen noch auf Schnee
und Eis stossen. Jedenfalls ist es im Hochsommer eine willkommene
Abkühlung, kurz ins Eisloch zu steigen: Man sieht in dieser
Jahreszeit wohl kein Eis, doch man spürt den Temperaturunterschied
und weiss, es ist da unten.
Rundum gibt es riesige bemooste Felsen, die von einem früheren
Felssturz berichten. Irgendwo da ist der Cache versteckt.
Der GPS-Empfang ist nicht berauschend, beachte darum den Hint. Eine
Taschenlampe kann sehr hilfreich sein beim Durchsuchen der Löcher
und Höhlen.

[EN] Ice hole? - This is not about a hole in the ice, but about
a hole full of ice!
It is situated at the upper end of Roflaschlucht, near a small
bridge over the Rhine.
Even in early summer you can sometimes come across some snow and
ice at this place. In midsummer you may get into the hole to cool
down. Perhaps you may not see any ice, but you can clearly feel the
difference in temperature so you know it is down there.
The surrounding area is full of huge moss-covered rocks originating
from a previous rock fall. This is where the cache is hidden.
GPS reception is rather poor around here, so take note of the hint.
A flashlight may be useful to explore all the holes and
caves.
