Geocache Description:

Here is another ham radio related cache. Just like Geocaching ham radio operators use a log book to record our activities. A common way to end a QSO (contact) is by saying, "I've got you in the log."

A station's log book is an official record of the station's activity on the authorized frequencies. The FCC has rights to visit an amateur station & inspect it.

Log Books may also be demanded by licensing authority at the time of up-gradation of license or at the time of application for special permissions.

Explanation of Log Book Entries:

Callsign... Callsign of the station in QSO (QSO = Two way Contact)

Date... Date of the QSO

IST FROM... Time in IST-begining of QSO

IST TO:... Time in IST- end of QSO

MHZ/BAND... Freq of QSO

Mode... Mode of Transmission

His Report... Report you have given to other station

My Report... Report received from other station

Name/QTH etc... Name & Location of station for reference

TX POWER... Transmitter Power used for above QSO
