Asi každý si pri vyslovení tohto slova spomenie na film Rain Man a postavu Raymonda Babbitta, ktorú v nom excelentne stvárnil Dustin Hoffman.

Co to vlastne autizmus je? Je to jedna z najzávažnejších porúch detského mentálneho vývoja, v dôsledku ktorej dieta dobre nerozumie tomu, co vidí, pocuje a prežíva. Kvôli tomuto handicapu je vývoj dietata narušený hlavne v oblasti komunikácie, sociálnej interakcie a predstavivosti. Autizmus sprevádzajú špecifické znaky v správaní.

Je to porucha u ktorej sa stále nepodarilo zistit príciny vzniku. Casto sa vyskytuje v kombinácii s inými poruchami, alebo handicapmi ci už fyzickými, alebo psychickými. Je to celoživotné, nevyliecitelné postihnutie. Avšak s postupujúcim vekom sa prejavy v chovaní menia. Mnoho ludí sa naucí žit a správat takým spôsobom, že ich problémy nie sú tak nápadné a na prvý pohlad viditelné, preto ich mnoho ludí ani nepostrehne. Závisí to od typu PAS (porucha autistického spektra), miere symptomatiky, výšky intelektu, prístupu ku vzdelaniu, odbornej pomoci a v neposlednom rade od prístupu rodicov.

Epidemiologické štúdie uvádzajú 15-25 prípadov autizmu na 10 000 narodených detí. Potencionálne teda v CR žije 15-20 000 osôb s autizmom.

Rozlišujeme niekolko typov porúch autistického spektra:

-         Detský autizmus

-         Atypický autizmus

-         Rettov syndróm

-         Aspergerov syndróm

-         Dezintegracná porucha

Autizmus sa diagnostikuje na základe prejavov chovania. Dá sa zistit už v detstve, alebo rannom veku. Jediným dokázatelne úspešným spôsobom pomoci detom s autizmom je špeciálna pedagogická starostlivost s využitím kognitívno-behaviorálnej terapie. Pokial špeciálnym prístupom umožníme dietatu porozumiet okolitému svetu, ktorý nan pôsobí vdaka jeho handicapu chaoticky, je stopercentná šanca, že dôjde k zlepšeniu. Samozrejme aj tu platí, že cím skôr sa porucha objaví, tým lepšie môžu byt výsledky v práci s dietatom.

Krabicka je na frekventovanom mieste, budte prosím opatrní pri jej vyberaní zo skrýše, nech nám nejaký cas vydrží.
