Geocache Description:

This is a three-part series with each cache showing Hucrest’s history in different centuries: 1800s, 1900s, and 2000s.

This cache is #1 representing the late 1800s. At that time the Hucrest area was open farmland. The coordinates take you to a location around the corner from The Calkins House at 1760 NW Grove. This is likely the first house in the area, which was part of a fruit ranch in the 1890s. Other historic homes appeared later in the early 1900s along Grove.
