Scarlet Pumphouse Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Andalusite: This cache has been missing for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs or logged into geocaching.com for some time I am archiving it.

Guidelines: "You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."

If you wish to email me please send your email via my profile (click on my name) and quote the cache name and number.

The Official bit:

Scarlet Pumphouse is a grade 2 listed building located on Llanelli’s North Dock. Completed in 1900 it once provided hydraulic power for the operation of the docks – once they were closed it became home to a string of light industrial uses before falling into disrepair and decay. It is a beautiful industrial building redolent of the care and attention to detail which engineers of the Victorian era brought to their work. It is also a wonderful monument to the proud industrial heritage of the area that has played such an important part in the history and culture of the town. Now part owned by local Rugby International Steven Jones.

Placed with the kind permission of Restaurant Owner
