ISHINOMAKI city is one of the worst-hit area of 3.11 earthquake and Tsunami. The place of the cache escaped injury by tsunami damage.
As you know, the Great Earthquake in East Japan wreaked tremendous damage. Especially, the huge tsunami killed many lives who had lived in maritime area of Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima. Now, list of victims lengthen, and the numbers of victims were over twenty thousand. And over one hundred thousand people are spending night in shelter. However, they started to do everything one can to put their lives back in order after incurring heavy losses in natural disasters. And many volunteers and government servants steadily advance reconstruction as soon as possible.
Also, I hope you, geocachers to come to Miyagi prefecture. Miyagi is the region richly endowed with nature. There are many beautiful mountains, rivers, and sea. Also, there are many hot springs and delicious foods. In every August, TANABATA-MATSURI festival is held in Sendai city. Please come to Miyagi ,and cheer the people in Miyagi up.
I am the owner of over one hundred geocaches in Northeastern Japan called TOHOKU region. (Fukushima, Miyagi, Akita, Iwate, Yamagata, and Aomori.) After the disaster in March 11, 2011, I decided to make a donation for the disaster victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake of one thousand yen per one visitor who found one of them. And now, the number of visitors who found them was over one thousand (accurately 1042 visitors) in a time between the day of the disaster and September 11, 2013. So, I made a donation of JPY 60,000 in October 2011, JPY 50,000 in December 2011, JPY20,000 in March 2012, JPY110,000 in July 2012, JPY190,000 in October 2012, JPY190,000 in January 2013, JPY70,000 in April 2013, JY300,000 in August 2013 and JY52,000 in October 2013. (Total amount is JY1,042,000). I appreciate very much that the geocachers visiteded and found my caches in TOHOKU region. I hope many geocachers to come and visit my geocaches in Northeastern Japan in the future.
私は東北地方に１００個以上のキャッシュを設置しています。２０１１年３月１１日に発生した東日本大震災発生後、私は震災地域のために訪問者１人あたり千円の寄付をすることにしました。そして震災以降２年６ヶ月間で私のキャッシュへの訪問者数（発見）は千人を超えて延１０４２人となりました。２０１１年１０月、１２月、２０１２年３月、７月、１０月、２０１３年１月、４月、８月、１０月にあわせて１，０４２，０００円を寄付しました。東北地方を訪問してくれた皆さんに感謝申し上げます。これからも東北地方を訪問しキャッシュハントを楽しんでください。
