Olipa kerran jättiläinen joka kynti maata härillään. Kuinka ollakaan, killiäisparvi kävi härkien kimppuun ja tästäkös juhdat vauhkoontuivat. Härät karkasivat kohti etelää aura perässään - Ja siinä vaossa alkoi virrata joki. Aurajoki.
Vaikka vanhat tarinat kiehtovia ovatkin, niin Aurajoen (ruots. Aura Å) nimi tulee muinaisruotsin vesiväylää merkitsevästä åder-sanasta. Aurajoki saa alkunsa Oripäänkankaalta ja virtaa 70 kilometrin matkalla Oripään, Pöytyän, Auran ja Liedon halki, hipaisee Kaarinaa ja päätyy Turkuun. Aurajokilaakso on valittu yhdeksi Suomen kansallismaisemaksi, jokilaaksossa on tyypillistä lounaissuomalaista viljely- ja kulttuurimaisemaa. Vanhat tiet myötäilevät jokea ja jokilaaksosta on löydetty merkkejä kivikautisesta asutuksesta. Turun kaupunki on syntynyt tiiviisti Aurajoen ympärille, joen itäpuolella, vanhan keskustan puolella komeilee Tuomiokirkko ja jokisuulla länsipuolella kohoaa Turun Linna.
Annetut koordinaatit tuovat sinut Koroisten ristin tuntumaan jossa on aikoinaan 1200-luvulla sijainnut kivikirkko ja kaksi kolmikerroksista kivirakennusta joita nimitetään piispan palatsiksi ja puolustustorniksi. Kirkkoon ja sen lähiympäristöön on haudattu jopa 300 ihmistä, muun muassa kolme 1200-luvun piispaa. Koroinen on ollut myös tärkeä kauppapaikka sillä 1200-luvulla merenpinta oli sen verran ylempänä että laivat pääsivät hyvin tänne asti avomereltä. Syvemmälle sisämaahan ei juuri ollut asiaa, siitä piti huolen Halistenkoski vähän matkan päässä.
Paikka sopii varsin mainiosti vaikkapa pienen piknikin pitämiseen eikä kameraakaan kannata täällä vain laukussa pitää. Täältä et kuitenkaan löydä kätköä, vaan se löytyy seuraamalla alla olevan runon ohjeita. Jos et jostain syystä halua etsiä kätköä runon avulla tai tunnet joutuneesi umpikujaan runoa seuraillessasi niin kuvauksen lopusta löytyy myös vaihtoehtoinen tapa loppupurkin koordinaattien selvittämiseen.

In English:
Once there was a giant who plowed the ground with his oxen. It happened that an horde of bees attacked the oxen and that made them stampede. Oxen ran towards the south with the plow still on their back - And water started to flow on that furrow as wide as river. Aura river.
Although the old stories have their ambience, the name of Aura river (Aura Å in Swedish) comes from the ancient Swedish word "åder" which means a watercourse. Aura river begins from the Oripäänkangas (somewhere there on the north) and flows 70 kilometers thru the towns of Oripää, Pöytyä, Aura, Lieto, quickly touches Kaarina and ends here to Turku. The cultural- and cultivation landscapes of valley of Aura river are typical to southwest Finland and the valley has been selected to be one of the national landscapes of Finland. Old roads follow the river and there has been found marks of stone age settlements from the river valley. City of Turku has born right next to the river of Aura, on the east side where there has been the old city centre is the Turku cathedral and on the west side there's the Turku castle where the river flows in to the sea.
Given coordinates bring you to the cross of Koroinen. At the 13th century there has been three stone buildings, a church and two three-storey buildings which are believed to be bishops palace and defence tower. Around the church has been buried even 300 bodies, they consisting three bishops of 13th century. Koroinen has also been an important market town because on 13th century the sea level was bit higher and boats had a good access to here from the sea. This was almost as deep as they could get to inlands since less than kilometer from here there was the rapids of Halinen.
The place is good for having a little picnic and there might be some use for the camera too, on sunny weather the views are great. You don't find the cache from here though, you first have to follow the poem below to find the correct cache location. If you for some reason don't want to follow the poem or the poem has been taken you to the dead-end, there's also an alternative way to solve final coordinates. You can find this alternative from the end of this description.

If it looks open go and have a break

After that again back to the road
If you skipped the cafe just straight you go
Curve to the right is soon on your way
Walk walk walk, you're doing okay
Fence on your right, made from boards
No cars allowed, that's the correct road
Between the spruces will go your feet
Open fields around, far away you can see
If the sky is clear and you're there on night

No street lights, only stars do shine
Still some walk before cache you'll find
About two hundred meters you should move
Don't turn anywhere, just straight thru
On your way you can rest on bench
Sit down, feel the weather with your senses
Catch a breath, don't hurry anywhere
Not far to go, you are almost there
When road turns to left the cache is very near
Step off from the path, do not feel the fear
Direction to water, down you should go
Follow your legs where the water does flow
Electric pole and bushes, on left them leave
Behind you there should be the fields
Go past first trees, the trip is done
Bend to the trees and the treasure is found
Log your name, maybe some wishes too
