Stetinden 2020 meters above sea
level
Stetinden is a peak where you can have one foot in Lom county
(Oppland) and the other in Luster county (Sogn og fjordane).
Jotunheimen
national park also start at the summit and most of the hike to
the summit is within the park.
The hike from Leirvassbu
is fairly easy. Round trip is approximately 13 km as shown on the
track. The cache is usually available from approximately late
june until some time in september, depending on snow conditions
Walking north towards the summit, you will have splendid views
from the ridge. Some will find the last few hundred meters a bit
challenging.
If you don't reach all the way to the cache, at the main summit,
you will still have a nice trip with splendid views from 1985
meters above sea level (south summit).
If you didnt reach the summit, feel free to log a "write note" or
"DNF", describing the trip.
