Geocaching.com has a relatively new feature that allows you to designate caches as "favorites." You get to assign one favorite point for every ten caches that you have found. It is a way that cachers can vote for the caches that represent what they feel are quality caches.
Well, the public has spoken. You have assigned hundreds of favorite points to local caches.
Your job in accepting this challenge is to find or own the 20 caches that have the most favorite points within a 20 mile radius of the intersection of Highways 80 and 395 in downtown Reno, Nevada. This will be a dynamic list so your finds must be the top 20 as of the date you are claiming this find. Proof of qualification will be a screen shot showing those caches with smiley faces or stars next to them attached to your log. You may also create a bookmark list or just list the caches and their favorite points in your log.
You will need to set-up a pocket-query with the following parameters to see the 20 caches you must find:
"Show me 1000 caches of Any Type"
"Any Container"
"Is available to all users" - Note - You may uncheck this if you want to include "Premium Only" caches in your list.
"Is Enabled"
"By Coordinates N 39 32.237 W 119 47.278"
"Within 20 miles"
Then "Submit Information" and then scroll back to the top of the list and the link to "preview the search." Once you have the search, click on the top of the column with the blue ribbon (It will say "Favorites" when your mouse is over it). Clicking on that ribbon will sort the list so that the twenty most favored caches are on the first page. These are the ones that you will need to find to claim this challenge. If you have all smiley faces or yellow stars on this page, then you are eligible to claim this challenge cache. Take a look at the enclosed "Example" photo to see what your list should look like.
Note: If your list includes disabled caches, just take the next one or two caches off the second page of the query. If you seriously believe that one of these caches should be disabled (i.e. it is missing), contact me (randallh9673 at gmail dot com) and I may let you treat that cache as disabled.
