I was on a bike ride today and rode past an area I have been many time both before and after I started caching.
FamilieRyan has put many caches in the area. One of the ones I remember the most was Grand Lakes: Bayou 1. I had to go back 3 times to finally find it. And when I did find it I felt pretty silly. This is one of the caches where I learned to lift the Blackberry GPSr quickly to my ear and pretend I was on the phone because of all the bike and walking traffic.
Maxwell's Hammer's BL (Beginner's Luck) series was great to have nearby. Too many times I had to read the detailed hints to make the find. Occasionally, the force was with me and I found the cache without any problem. BL #48 : Put That in Your Pipe..., was one of them..
If anyone out there has found St. Finian's Bay, Cinco Ranch I would appreciate some help. The CO posted a note about a year ago saying the cache was in good shape. Well I have been there several times and between all the possibilities and the bouncing GPSr signals I have not been able to find it. No other logs to confirm or deny.
Well I could go on and on about the fun and frustration I have had finding and attempting to find caches but I won't so go find this cache!!!
