Geocache Description:

This is one of a series of caches placed in the White Mountain Wildnerness by the Geohikers

The caches in this series can be reached from the Ski Apache gondola, then following the Crest Trail north, from the Crest Trail access trailhead at the Ski Apache parking lot, from South Fork Trail, Bluefront Canyon Trail, Big Bonito Trail or other trails then to the Crest Trail, thus the name "Options." This is a beautiful area of the the Lincoln National Forest and worth the climb (or gondola ride in season--ski season may have too much snow for easy walking, summer season gondola operates 10AM to 5PM Friday through Sunday, weather permitting, fire season permitting, ending Labor Day weekend.) You may see elk grazing on the adjacent ski slopes or meadows as you climb. Beware thunderstorms in season as you will be above or slightly below 11,000 feet for most of the hike once you gain the initial elevation and if you choose to go for all three it will be a long day, no matter which option you choose. The views are worth it.
This hike is rated a four, because it was the furthest from our starting point making it more than 10 miles roundtrip.
