Geocache Description:

Welcome to Madison Square Park, our neighborhood park. This park is so special to us we decided to make a multi-cache to take you to many of it's historically significant spots. We hope you have fun!

The area known as Madison Square Park has existed as an urban public space since 1686. Named for James Madison, fourth President of the United States, Madison Square was formally opened as a public park in 1847. You'll start at the place in the park that has a connection to James Madison.

Now the fun begins

From the listed coordinates, find the plaque commemorating President James Madison. Using the dates on the plaque, calculate:
A = Fourth digit of either date - First digit of either date
B = Third digit of either date + third digit of either date
C = Second digit of first date - fourth digit of either date

Navigate to:
N40° 44.ABA W073° 59.CB0

These coordinates will put you in front of another monument commemorating an American hero.

From the information on the monument, calculate:
D = Number of years served in the war
E = Second digit of the year of his death
F = Number of letters in his last name - number of letters in the "color" of the crab architecturally (look down)

Navigate to:
N40° 44.DEE W073° 59.FFF

From this monument calculate:
G = Number of distinct offices held
H = Number of letters in his middle name (as displayed on the statue)
I = Number of letters in his last name - H
J = I-G

Navigate to:
N40° 44.IJH W073° 59.GJJ

From this monument, calculate:
K = Second digit of erection date

Navigate to the final monument at:
N40° 44.A(E-C)C W073° 59.JCK

Good Luck!
