Mysteerissä on mukana 32 matkalaista (ja kätköilijää!) ympäri Suomea. Mysteerin ratkaisemiseksi tulee kerätä vähintään 23 seurantakoodia alla listatuista matkalaisista.
Kun olet kerännyt seurantakoodit, syötä ne Track 'em down -checkeriin. (Jos haluat SSL-suojatun yhteyden, asenna itse allekirjoitettu sertifikaatti ja käytä palvelua täältä.) Saat checkeristä loppupisteen koordinaatit ja lukon numeroyhdistelmän.
Mukaan lähteneet kätköilijät ovat sitoutuneet mahdollisten matkalaisten katoamisten osalta pitämään matkalaiset liikkeellä, ja tarvittaessa jopa laskemaan liikkeelle uusia matkalaisia. Mysteeri on suunniteltu siten, että uusien matkalaisten mukaan ottaminen onnistuu eikä tietyn paikkakunnan matkalaisen vaihtaminenkaan aiheuta lisämutkia matkaan. Jos esimerkiksi Tampereen matkalainen katoaa ja liikkeelle lasketaan uusi, checker hyväksyy sekä vanhan että uuden matkalaisen seurantakoodin. Voit siis huoletta antautua mysteerin pauloihin!
Kätkö sijaitsee jossain päin Lempäälää, aloituspiste osoittaa järveen. Loppupisteen valinnassa hyvät liikenneyhteydet painoivat vaakakupissa enemmän kuin kauniit maisemat, josta syystä loppupistettä pääsee lähestymään autolla ympäri vuoden, jos kohta loppumetrit ovat lumen määrästä riippuen enemmän tai vähemmän rymyämistä. Itse kätkön pitäisi löytyä myös runsaslumisena talvena. D/T-arvo kätkölle on 1½/2, tosin lumen määrän mukaan talvella T-arvoon voi lisätä ½-1 tähteä.
FTF-palkintona on aktivoimaton FTF-geokolikko. Mysteeriin tekemiseen osallistuville on jätetty henkilökohtaisesti päätettäväksi osallistuako matkalaisjahtiin vai ei, mutta FTF-jahtiin on luonnollisesti asiaa vain keräämällä vaadittu määrä seurantakoodeja.
Osa Track 'em down! -matkalaisten omistajista on perustanut bonus-kätköjä, joiden loppunaatit saat myös checkeristä. Näitä voinee pitää "lisäpalkintona" bongaus-urakasta! Bonuskätköt ovat:
32 trackables (and geocachers!) are involved in this mystery. To solve the mystery, one must collect at least 23 tracking codes from the trackables listed below.
After you have collected the codes, enter them into the Track 'em down -checker. (If you want to use SSL secured connection, install the self signed certificate and access the checker from here.) The checker will provide you with the end point coordinates as well as the combination for the lock.
Should the trackables be lost, the geocachers involved have been committed to keep the trackables alive, and even to unleash new trackables if needed. By design, the mystery allows new trackables to be included without extra effort to cachers which already have hunted the trackable. For example, if the Tampere trackable gets lost and a new trackable is unleashed, the checker will approve both old and new tracking codes. Thus you can feel free to get into the abyss of the mystery!
The cache is located somewhere in Lempäälä, the (bogus) beginning coordinates point to the lake. When selecting the end point, the good traffic connections were favoured instead of the scenery. Therefore you can approach the cache area also in winter time, but depending of the snow situation, be prepared for a difficult last few meters out there. The cache itself should also be possible to find in heavy snow. D/T for the cache is 1½/2, and ½-1 extra T-stars for snowy winter.
As an FTF prize there is an unactivated FTF geocoin. Persons involved in the making of the mystery have been given the free choice whether to participate in the trackable hunt or not, but naturally the FTF hunt is only for those who collect necessary amount of tracking codes.
Some Track 'em down! trackable owners have prepared bonus caches. The checker will provide you also with their final coordinates. They can be considered as a some sort of "extra reward" for the trackable hunt! The bonus caches are:
