Geocache Description:

A traditional cache along a public footpath in the village of Beyton.
The entrance off Quaker Lane to the footpath can be very muddy but the path is better once past this part. At the other end where the path meets Bury Road is a small wooden bridge across the ditch and a stile.

Although not actually at Oak Tree Pond this cache is not far away.
Oak Tree Pond was once known locally as Fridge Pond due to the large number of household appliances dumped there! Beyton Environmental Group now manage the land for wildlife and this enclosed area is home to many bird and bat boxes. The pond is open for public to walk around although it can get very overgrown as it is left for wildlife habitat.

The cache is an old hot chocolate tub and would be easy fairly easy for children to find, but watch out for brambles!

Can be combined with a short walk to Quaker Farm cache.

Not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs unless all-terrain type and then only when accessing from Quaker Lane entrance to footpath.
