Geocache Description:

Wardriving is the act of searching for Wi-Fi wireless networks by a person in a moving vehicle, using a portable computer or smartphone.

Wardriving was derived from the term wardialing from the 1983 film WarGames, which involved searching for computer systems to connect to, using software that dialed numbers sequentially to see which ones were connected to a fax machine or computer.

THE CACHE - SPECIALIZED HARDWARE REQUIRED
This is a 2 point multi-cache. The first waypoint is an 802.11 wireless access point. You do not need to actually find the access point, you just need to receive the SSID broadcast. You do not need to connect to the access point - in fact there is nothing connected to it.

The posted coordinates for this cache is near a fire hydrant. Park legally and you should be able to receive a strong signal from several Wi-Fi Access Points. You will have to determine which one is of use to you (you will know it when you see it). As part of the SSID, there will be number sequences. These will give you latitude and longitude respectively to the final co-ordinates.

After obtaining the final coordinates, drive to the final location where there is a magnetic bison tube. Parking can be a problem in this area.

This cache is not at all that hard to get to, but the GeoCaching specs state that a cache that requires specialized hardware, the Wi-Fi in this case, has a terrain rating of 5.

This cache is a copycat of one of my favorite multi-caches, "Glendale war-walking multi - GC1RNHC" created and maintained by K6CCC & JoeTrain1
