Tung Lung Chau
This small but pretty island is best known for camping (it has a good camp site near the ruins of an 18th century fort), and is considered the best destination to go rock climbing in Hong Kong.
The cache is an easy half-hour walk from the ferry pier, and is located at a very nice viewpoint. From here walk down to a rock carving (the largest of its kind in Hong Kong), or walk on for a round trip around the island. Note that the path from the top of the hill down to the fort is no more than a rough mountain trail, this is 3-4 star terrain and a steep scramble. The rest of the path is concreted.
Getting there
Tung Lung Chau has regular ferry services on Saturday and Sunday only. Ferry depart from Sam Ka Tsuen.
