This is the third of three cleanups required by the State of
Alaska Adopt-A-Highway program for 2011. GeocacheAlaska's
Adopt-A-Highway CITO event is a great way to show your support for
geocaching in Alaska and make our community a safer, greener and
cleaner place.
We will be meeting promptly at 10:00
a.m. (to accomodate a few other events taking place in
the Anchorage area at the event coordinates. All volunteers will
need to participate in a very brief (10 min. approx.) safety
orientation as required by the State of Alaska.
Please be sure to dress appropriately. The State of Alaska
suggests wearing long-sleeved shirts, sturdy, long pants and
hard-soled shoes or boots. ***Sorry, but pets and children under
11 years of age are not permitted to attend this event per the
conditions set by the State of Alaska. If you have a safety
vest, please feel free to bring it along. If you do not have a
safety vest, one will be provided for you. Other items you may want
to bring along are a pair of work gloves and a respirator mask. We
will be bringing nitrile gloves and some extra respirator masks
should they be needed. Also, please try to carpool if you are able
to in order to minimize our impact on parking. If you have a truck
and are willing to haul trash after the clean up, please contact
