Hitchcock Woods might be the largest urban forests in the United
States, with approximately 2,100 acres of forestland located inside
Aiken City limits. This is a time-limited cache placed with
permission from the Hitchcock Woods Executive Director.
Hitchcock Woods is open to the public, on horseback or on foot,
from dawn to dusk 365 days a year. Please take care to follow the
Hitchcock Woods regulations when hunting for the cache. For more

The best parking location is at the middle Dibble Road entrance,
commonly known as the Tea Cottage Path entrance. Coordinates are 33
33.398, -81 45.183
The first two caches in this time-limited placement followed the
theme of Alfred Hitchcock movies. The third placement in this
series continued this precedent and was named for the 1959 classic,
"North by Northwest." This movie is about a hapless New York
advertising executive who is mistaken for a government agent by a
group of foreign spies, and is pursued across the country while he
looks for a way to survive. The cache was placed in the
north-northwest portion of Hitchcock Woods as a link to the movie
and cache titles.
GPS readings were not very reliable in this area. The cache is
less than 10 feet from a trail, so there is no need to
bushwack.
