Geocache Description:

Please be respectful of this area and if a service is in session, do not stop out of courtesy please!

In 1916 there was an urgent need for the upkeep of the local cemetery. Mrs. Lulu TOMLINSON decided to do something about it, and a committee was formed consisting of Mrs. TOMLINSON, T. W. TOMLINSON and J. L. STALLINGS. Their goal was to raise money for a fence and a gate. Mrs. TOMLINSON did the soliciting and raised most of the money needed. As the first president of the Cemetery Association, she was privileged to name the cemetery Rose Hill. She said, "We have the hill. Someday we will have the roses."

On your way out and just up the road from here, you can visit El Camino, where you can savor their World Famous Chile Rellenos! Be sure to read the historical marker and enjoy your visit in Swisher County!
