Balls Farm Road
Named after the farm whose barn faces onto the road, Balls Farm Road can be traced back to Crabbe Lane. Alternatively, taking the footpath about 200 yards along, you can reach Hambeer Lane. This steep hill used to be known locally as “Lover’s Lane”, and it continues, over Hambeer Lane, as “Roly Poly Hill”.
