CACHE FRAM
Na hitro o Framu:
Fram je naselje ob vzhodnem vznožju Pohorja v obcini Race – Fram. V preteklosti je bilo v Framu vec vodnih mlinov in žag. Prav tako se je v Framu razvijalo oljarstvo cigar tradicija sega v leto1886. Na nekaterih domacijah so še posamezni opušceni in predelani objekti, ostanki preteklega gospodarjenja (Sagadinova žaga, Pecovnikov mlin ter oljarne v središcu vasi).
Nekoc je v Framu stal grad na katerega spominjajo samo še razvaline v gozdu na gricu nad cerkvijo v Framu. Zgodovinski viri pricajo, da je bil grad prvic omenjen leta 1335 kot Vraunhaym. Grad je menjal številne lastnike. Leta 1635 so grad zavzeli in izropali uporni kmetje, v 18. stoletju je pogorel, v zacetku 19. stoletja pa dokoncno propadel.
Zakaj sva nastavila cach prav tu?
Ta cach sva s sošolcem nastavila v spomin na najino raziskovalno nalogo, z naslovom »Ko nas zabavna elektronika popelje v naravo«. Rdeca nit naloge pa je bila združiti sprehod v naravo s pomocjo elektronike (GPS) in odkrivanje zakladov (Geocaching). Nalogo sva sestavila v 9. razredu OŠ Fram. Raziskovalno nalogo sva predstavila tudi na državnem nivoju, tam pa sva dosegla odlicno 2. mesto.

Briefly about Fram:
Fram is a village on the eastern foothills of Pohorje and is part of the commune of Race – Fram. In the past, Fram had a lot of water mills and sawmills. Oil mill industry has also been developing; the oil mill tradition reaches as far as the year 1886. Some homes still keep some old abandoned and remade buildings, which are the remains of the previous crafts (Sagadin’s sawmill, Pecovnik’s mill and oil mills in the town center).
Once there was also a castle above Fram, of which only the ruins remain on the hill above Fram's church. Historical documents show the castle was first mentioned in 1335 as »Vraunhaym«. The castle was run by a number of owners. In 1635 it was taken over and robbed by the rebellious farmers, in 18th century it burned down and in the beginning of 19th century it was finally abandoned.
Why did we place this cache here?
This cache was placed here by my schoolmate and me in memory of our research entitled »When entertainment electronics takes us to the nature«. The highlight of the research was to combine a walk in the nature with a bit of help of modern electronics (GPS) and Treasure Hunt – Geocaching. The research was made in the ninth grade of Fram's Primary School and it was also presented on the national level, awarded with the great second place.
