Geocache Description:

An easily accessible cache a few metres from the NCN 12 cycle route.

A "grab and dash" cache overlooking some lovely Hertfordshire countryside, only spoilt by the noise of the A1M !

Pole mounted electricity transformers are common across the country, bringing the lower National Grid voltages down to their final 415V/240V levels, typically from around 11,000V input. The transformer principle was first demonstrated in 1831 by Faraday, though practical designs did not appear until the 1880s. They were still a long way off the efficient transformers you see today!

You are looking for a 35mm magnetic film canister micro-cache. Contents are purely a mini logbook, you need to bring your own writing tool. If you look to the West you can see rolling hills and nice countryside. In contrast, if you look to the East you can hear the roar of the traffic on the A1M as it slices through the land.
