A number of ways to get there. For the unfamiliar, park at the Russian Retirement village, Old Kent Rd. Continue down the road, turn right, the rest is a Fire trail walk until a T intersection of Fire Trails, mid point between beginning and cache, go off track, SW, dropping about 70 metres. This part is an unmarked foot track, it gets a bit steep there, and sometimes the track is hard to see.
15 years ago this was a nice little secluded spot on the river, to have a swim.. these days there is a fireplace of burnt tin cans.. but still a lovely place. A couple of ways down. This is the most obvious, once you find the beginning. Someone in days gone built a nice wooden track down the creek, but it is falling apart now. There is a bit of a huff and puff to get out. There is a more direct way out, but the track is overgrown and it would spoil it if people started to use it. Lots to see. On the way back, a side visit to S34 04.843 E 150.51.749 offers some nice views, and at S34 04.711 E150 51.751, under a beautiful old gum tree there is a shortcut back to the car.
