Geocache Description:

A morning clean-up of Cottonwood Island Nature Park, Heritage River Trails and the Fort George Park riverfront before the BC Rivers Day festivities, maintenance of area geocaches and a commemorative placement of a geocache.

Saturday September 24th, 2011

START:
9am

FINISH:
12pm (noon)

WHERE TO MEET:
Parking lot of Cottonwood Island Nature Park / Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum

AREA BEING CLEANED-UP:
Cottonwood Island, Heritage River Trail, Fort George Park riverfront

FACILITIES NEARBY:
Washrooms, picnic tables, covered shelter

WHAT TO BRING:
Cleaning supplies: gloves - rubber or heavy duty, trash bags, trash grabbers/litter sticks, hand sanitizer, paper towels, etc. Some extra gloves, trash bags and sanitizer will be on hand as well, though supplies will be limited.

OPTIONAL:
GPS device, camera, geoswag, rain gear

AFTER THE EVENT:
Snack break, prizes and meet & greet at Fort George Park

CONTINGENCY PLAN:
Should flooding or poor weather threaten the event, meet @ Exploration Place in Fort George Park.
