After the event, join us
in some postprandial geocaching in the area, or stay for bowling,
pool, or arcade games.
When posting your
"will attend," please note how many people will be attending under
your caching name so we can arrange for sufficient food for
everyone!
The
Eleventh Year, Eleventh Month, Eleventh Day, Eleventh Hour,
Eleventh Minute, and Eleventh Second mission began in 2005 when the
FlyinV's decided to hold an event called
05-05-05 @ 05:05:05 to determine which cachers were so crazed
and hungry for geocaching that they would get together that early
in the morning. Almost 50 fellow cachers attended! The following
year,
06-06-06 @ 06:06:06 was just as much fun, with over 60 people
attending that event. In 2007, about 150 cachers attended
07-07-07 @ 07:07:07. And in 2008, on a summer Friday,
almost 88 folks attended the
08-08-08 @ 08:08:08. Close
to 80 attended the 09-09-09 @
09:09:09 event, and almost 200 attended the 10-10-10 @ 10:10:10 event …
therefore, the “All About the Numbers” event series
lives on!
We are inviting all
of you to join us once again for a geocacher greet, meet, and eat!
And, if it's all about the Elevens this year, then it has to take
place at 11:11:11 in the morning!! This year, the event is on
a Friday, but it's Veterans Day, and the New Jersey kids will be
off from school (Teachers Convention), so hopefully you'll all be
able to join what has become one of South Jersey's largest events
of the year!
Donations for door prizes welcomed!
We welcome
all donations suitable for doorprizes. Here's you opportunity
to share a geocoin, an extra ammo can, bag of swag, certificates,
etc. We'll be drawing for prizes shortly after noon to allow
those who have to get back to work the chance to
win.
Most Creative Geocache Container
Contest
Just like
the past years, we are on the lookout for creative cache containers
and creative hide ideas. Last year we had numerous inventive and
imaginative containers at our event and we are eager to see what
this year will bring! In that vein, a contest ensues ... Put your
noggin to work and get creative. Bring your coolest geocache
container. The only rule is this has to be a useable geocache
container, and we should all expect to see it placed soon after the
event! The winner will be decided by YOUR VOTES shortly after
11:11:11. Prizes will be awarded for First, Second, and Third
place finishers … you just have to play to win!
Travel Bug Exchange
“Bug
Exchanges” are always welcome. If you are bringing
travel bugs to trade, please have their Bug Page printed and
included, so their goal will not be a mystery.
If you plan on
attending, please include in your posting how many will be in your
group so we can let the restaurant know how many crazy cachers to
expect. Be sure to watch this page for updates, changes,
and/or announcements.
