Bevor wir
mit dem Geocachen angefangen haben,
kannten wir eigentlich nur das Gebiet Breinigerberg als „Naturerlebnis“.
Und ehrlich gesagt haben wir hier „Gift und Galle“ gespuckt,
denn dies war unser Joggingwald, in dem wir uns quälen mussten
;).
Heute
kennen wir dank unseres neuen Hobbys viele schönere Wälder, aber
irgendwie hängt unser Herz trotzdem noch am
„Breinigerberg“. Daher haben wir uns entschlossen, hier
einen Tradi auszulegen, dessen Name
somit eine Doppelbedeutung bekommt. Es soll eben auch ein „Gift“ (engl. Geschenk) an
unser neues Hobby sein.
Der Name
weist noch auf eine weitere Eigenschaft dieses Caches hin. Für
Liebhaber von schnellen Dosenfunden und Drive-ins ist er auch eher
„Gift“ im
ursprünglichen Sinne. Es müssen nämlich über 3 Kilometer
zurückgelegt werden, um ihn zu finden und es gibt leider keinen
näheren Parkplatz.
Schließlich
werdet Ihr noch eine vierte Bedeutung des „Gifts“ erkennen, wenn Ihr
die Dose findet…

Obwohl der Cache außerhalb des
Naturschutzgebiets liegt, bitten wir Euch, die Regeln des
Naturschutzes zu beachten und respektvoll mit der Natur umzugehen!
Es muss nur einmal ein kleines Stück vom Weg abgewichen werden - am
Final.
Before we began geocaching we only knew the area "Breinigerberg" as a "natural experience". And to be
honest we breathed fire and brimstone here, as this was our usual
jogging route ;). (Side note: "Gift und Galle spucken" is german for
breathing fire and brimstone.)
Nowadays we know quite a few nicer forests, thanks
to our new hobby, but our heart is still set to the "Breinigerberg". Therefore we decided to place a
traditional cache here,
whose name even has a deeper meaning. The cache is meant as a
gift to our new-found hobby.
In addition, the name hints at an important
attribute of the cache. It is poison (german: "Gift") for fans of fast finds and
drive-ins. You will have to walk for more than 3 km to find it, and
unfortunately there is no closer parking area.
And finally, as you find the container you will
even see another
meaning of "Gift"...

Even though the cache is placed outside of the
nature reserve we ask you to follow the rules of nature protection
and treat nature with respect. You will only need to leave the path
once for a few meters - at the final location.
