Castle Kyalami was built in the 1990s by Greek
millionaire and architect Demos Dinopoulos, who had intended it to
be home and a status symbol for his extended family. Located in the
northern outskirts of Johannesburg, Castle Kyalami is set on 22
acres. Recently, it has functioned as a hotel and has been used for
business conferences and as a wedding venue. The 5,900 m2
(64,000-square-foot) castle has an Arthurian style, and contains a
spa, 24 suites, a luxury hotel, a restaurant, a conference centre
and its own helipad.
