Wendy's Potter Puzzle Redux Mystery Cache

... but they will put you near where the cache is hidden. :)

This is an updated version of Wendy's Potter Puzzle that was hidden by filler & bcat in 2006. I was the last one to find the cache, and at that time I noted that the original location had become a construction zone and was not a good spot for a hide. I checked with filler & bcat, who have moved away, and they agreed that because this cache has been found so many times already, it would be best to archive it and replace it with a new cache. So with the final Harry Potter movie coming out, this seemed like the perfect time to rejuvenate this cache. And fortunately, I have an 11 year-old son who is an avid Harry Potter fan, having read all of the books in the series twice, to help think up some new questions.

Like the original cache, the questions are designed to test the knowledge of serious Harry Potter fans. Some of the questions will not be solvable by those who have just simply seen the movies. Books must be cracked to continue. Each question must be answered correctly in order to derive the final coordinates where the cache is hidden. You will take each correct answer and extract certain specified letters. Each letter corresponds with a one-digit numerical value as specified below in the master key. Best of luck. :)

Note from CO: After several months with only a few finds, I sense that I may have scared some people off with the description of the difficulty of the puzzle.
