An Inn Frequent Occurrence aka BBH#50! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Simply Paul: It's been a while and although there are some travel items still booked in here (tut!) it's time to archive this fun meet. BBH51 has also been and gone, BBH52 (April/MK) is in the pipeline, as is another Geolympix pub-quiz meet from me, planned as BBH53 in May, not far from the cycle track between Thame and Princes Risborough, where the Geolympix Cyclerama series should be going live on the morning of the event.

Did everyone get their Leap Day 2012 souvenir? http://www.geocaching.com/my/souvenirs.aspx

Cheers again for coming along and making this a fun one. More adventures soon, BBHers!

Geocache Description:

Bucks Beds and Herts Border-ing on the Ridiculous number 50! How ridiculous is that?!

There's a special Leap Day Souvenir for everyone who logs a 'Found' or 'Attended' this February 29th. For stat-hungry Premium Members there's the added joy of filling that little blank box on their 'finds by date' calendar grind; The 366th day of geocaching!

Where: The Boot, Soulbury, Leighton Buzzard, Beds LU7 0BT.

From Wikipedia: "There is a public house in Soulbury called The Boot. Its pub sign features a boot of the Duke of Wellington, but the tradition of the Soulbury Boot is said to be much older than that. It is said that the Devil himself once came to the village, but the villagers came together to fight him off. One of them took his sword and cut off the Devil's foot and as it fell to the ground it turned to stone. The stone came to be known as the Soulbury Boot. Although fascinating, this story is said by some to have been made up by a previous pub landlord in order to attract visitors."

When: Wednesday the 29th of February 2012, from 7pm. A rare date for a cache event...

What: The 50th of these caching gatherings. Who knew they'd be so popular? Since we have a room to ourselves, and I have it left over from my 40th Birthday event that I didn't get to, there's going to be an optional Pub Quiz too! 8pm-9pm approx. £1 per person entry, max. team size 4 people, half the pot to the winner/s, half to help fund The Geolympix.

Who: Bucks, Beds and Herts cachers, but those not local are also made very welcome! We'll be talking caching and swapping travel items, in the usual fashion. New to caching or cache events? You'll be made especially welcome :)

Why: Because it gives Alibags a chance to propose to me. ;)
